World Health Organization

I finally got to have lunch with Andrada at the WHO and tour the facility. In the front courtyard is a statue that illustrates the tradgedy of Onchocerciasis, commonly known as River Blindness, which was especially prevalent in West Africa but also affects Central and South America.

Veyrier-Douane at 10:30 pm. Just got home.

World Trade Organization (WTO)

My school's library, computer lab, some classrooms and offices are in the basement of the WTO. I often take my lunch in the large park behind it that overlooks the lake.

Hodler Exhibit

Paysan qui médite (Meditating Peasant)

Hodler himself. In Paris, of course.
Self-portrait. In Geneva. Obviously.
Hodler in Canada. Clearly.

...just joking! That one's called "The man with the wooden leg"

Old man taking a walk in a parc. And the axe-wielder. I feel sorry for that tree.

Happy 4th of July!

JPZ Jazz Band, an outstanding jazz ensemble. It was quite entertaining to hear Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" in a French accent.

No joke. Line dancing to country music in Geneva! Luckily, ONLY on the 4th of July. : )

Vaches à Genéve

There are 70 decorated cows on display around Geneva. I found about 27 with Jaci a Saturday afternoon and have found a few more in days since.

This is tourist vache, looking out from the balcony of her swank hotel room.
